Orchestra Transcriptions
(a few Score examples)
I would like to introduce you to my orchestral transcriptions - a business that I have been doing with passion for many years. Today it is a fairly impressive list of first-class works by all recognized composers of the past and present, which has turned into a whole symphony theater for me. Guided by the selection principles, I included in it exclusively original ones intended for chamber performance. My orchestral transcriptions are performed by orchestras such as: NY Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, NJ Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Buenos Aires Philharmonic, Sofia Philharmonic, The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine among many others. When fate gives you a chance to lead a large orchestra, moreover, of national importance, questions of repertoire politics are concerned almost every day. Of course, most often you outline the generally accepted heights of the classical repertoire and climb them together with the entire orchestra, proving to ourselves and the whole world that we can play the same thing and even very successfully! In my opinion, this is not enough to emphasize your individuality and originality. Do not think that I am trying to teach anyone something or I am doing self-promotion, but many of my orchestral transcriptions are able to emphasize and distinguish the orchestra from the general list of the most famous bands. These works not only expand the existing standard repertoire, but more often than not are a win-win trump card in the program.
